The Halifax Sparklettes are a Baton Twirling team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We compete in NBTA, CNBTA & CBTF events that take us all throughout North America. Halifax has a very vibrant twirling community and you can easily find the Sparklettes at local competitions, performing at sporting events or in various parades. The Sparklettes have a 50 year history in the sport of twirling.

The Halifax Sparklettes twirling season runs from September to August with opportunities for new participants to register in September and January. Classes are held once a week and are one hour in length. Participants will be assigned to classes based on age and twirling ability. All class participants will have the opportunity to perform at a local competition and in local parades.
Recreational and Competitive Classes are held every Tuesday and Wednesday between 6pm-8pm at Chebucto Heights Elm School (230 Cowie Hill Rd) from Mid Sept to Mid June
What You Need to Twirl
Dress Code: Shorts or Yoga/Activewear bottoms &T-shirts or Tank Tops. Hair: Must be pulled up into a ponytail/bun
Shoes: Canvas Shoes or Twirling Sneakers
How to measure for a baton: Check out the video below to learn how to measure yourself or your daughter for a baton (Any member of the Sparklette's coaching staff will be happy to help with baton measurements!)

Founded in November 1969by Brenda Fraser and Lillian Yeadon, The Halifax Sparklettes are the longest running baton team in Eastern Canada. The team is now directed by Shelley McNamara. Over the years we have participated in numerous competitions,parades and events in Canada and the US. Many of our athletes compete in both solo and group events, in a range of age and skill divisions. We compete in many local competitions but we also do quite a bit of travelling. Some of our most frequented competitions include:
